Plymouth State University Outdoor Center

Located in Student Apartment 31, up the hill from the Langdon Woods dorms, the PSU Outdoor Center is a resource for students looking for a wide variety of recreational gear. Rent a paddle board or a canoe to float the Pemi in August; a pair of rock climbing shoes to use on the PE Center climbing wall. Or just get outside on a Sunday afternoon (we've got disc-golf!) EQUIPMENT USE IS FREE OF CHARGE FOR STUDENTS. Beyond the equipment use program, the Outdoor Center operates day trips throughout the school year that range from snowshoeing, full-moon hikes, and canoeing; to white-water kayaking, ice climbing, and surfing. All trips are led by experienced PSU students but there is NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY FOR PARTICIPANTS. Whether you've been tackling bouldering problems for years, or you just want to try something new over the weekend, our small group sizes insure that you will have the freedom to push your limits while having focused, personal instruction along the way.
