The University has approximately 1,448 parking spaces for students to park while attending PSU. For this reason, it is important to make your decision to bring a vehicle to school early and be certain you purchase a parking permit as soon as possible.

Parking permits should be placed on either the driver’s side, inside lower left corner of your windshield OR the driver’s side, passenger door small window portion that does not roll down. For heavily tinted vehicles permits should be placed in the windshield location.

If you have a paper temporary or guest permit, it should be placed face first up and visible on the dashboard of your vehicle at all times. Permits placed upside down, on the floor of your vehicle, or otherwise obscured are not acceptable visibility. It is your responsibility to ensure they’re properly displayed as you leave your vehicle.

All motorcycle permits should be placed in a highly visible area.

Sometimes, new or mid-year transfer students are not yet uploaded into the pre-approved parking list.

If you find yourself in this situation, please call UPD at (603) 535-2330 ext.2, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Be sure to have your PSU ID with you when you call to verify your eligibility.

If you’ve logged on to purchase your Parking Permit but do not see the permit you were advised to purchase, please contact UPD at (603) 535-2330 ext.2, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

If you ordered the wrong permit, please call UPD at (603) 535-2330 ext.2, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

If you have a Restricted Permit you don’t need to make any changes to your permit.

If you have a Residential North or South Permit, please call UPD at (603) 535-2330 ext.2, Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., as you may not need to make any changes. If you do find that you need to make changes, please bring your current permit to UPD and exchange it.

During this time, please park your vehicle in UPD’s driveway to avoid parking without a valid permit on campus.

Remove your permit from your vehicle, place it on the vehicle you intend to bring to campus, go online and log in. Once you’ve logged in, choose the “Account” tab, then update your vehicle information under “Manage Vehicles.” Then go to the “View Permits” tab, choose the blue edit crayon for the correct permit number, and select the correct vehicle from the drop down menu. The permit barcode must match the vehicle it is on. The permit should be placed in the same location requirements.

OR
