Jacob Downey

Jacob has served as Editor-in-Chief of The Clock since the end of his sophomore year. In high school he was a staff writer for Teens In Print, Boston’s city-wide high school newspaper where he now works as a mentor and editor, giving back to a new generation of TIP-sters.

At The Clock, Jacob primarily covers local news and campus issues including Plymouth’s adoption of Indigenous Peoples Day, the flooding of the White Mountain Apartments, and an interview with Sen. Maggie Hassan. He is also the author of “The Gears”, a comprehensive manual detailing The Clock’s approach to journalism.

Jacob cannot do a kickflip. Stop asking.
