BIOGRAPHY
Morgan has joined the Counseling Center in August of this year as a practicum student. She is pursuing her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addictions and Substance use. She has a strong interest in supporting students and they develop identity and navigate adulthood transitions.
APPROACH TO COUNSELING AND AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION
Morgan believes in adjusting her approach to the individual and uses a variety of therapeutic methods to best support each student’s needs, as there is “no one size fits all” method. Morgan uses an eclectic approach with a combination of Cognitive Behavioral theories, Narrative Therapy, Existentialism, and person centered. She values trust and collaboration with a focus on building relationships in a space that offers support and encouragement. She advocates cultivating resilience, healing, coping skills, and personal growth.
INTERESTS
She enjoys walking her dog, reading, and photography. She also loves traveling, exploring new places, and national parks. She loves listening to music and watching films. Quality time with her friends and loved ones is significant to her daily life, while also having time to reflect and build memories.
