Dr. Anil B. Waghe received a B.Sc. degree in chemistry from the University of Bombay in first class and a M.Sc. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. The area of study for his Masters degree was in organic and polymer chemistry. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maine, Orono in the area of synthetic organic and surface science chemistry.

Prior to joining the PSU faculty, he was a Dreyfus Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oklahoma where he worked in the area of surfactants and environmental science. Dr. Waghe won several Outstanding Teaching Assistant awards at the University of Maine, and he also served as a research assistant. He has prior industrial experience as a Technical Officer, Jr. Information Scientist and Research and Development chemist in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Research interests: Medicinal plants, Green Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Organic synthesis, Environmental Chemistry, Forensic Science.
