Christina Noyes

Education

Christina M. Noyes has a Music Education Degree from Mason Gross School of Music, Rutgers University (2006) and is certified to teach K-12 music in New Jersey and New Hampshire. She also has a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Boston University (2010).

Professor Noyes has been teaching music in New Hampshire since 2006. She taught music at Gorham Middle/High School from 2006-2014 and currently teaches music in the Littleton school district grades 7-12.

On the oboe, Professor Noyes has performed with the Philadelphia Sinfonia II, Rowan University Orchestra, Plymouth State University Band, The Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra, Mozart and Friends Company (opera). She has performed both locally and around the world. She specializes in oboe and piano and gives private music lessons on all instruments including woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings.

Professor Noyes is interested in the relationship between music, cinema, art, and culture. She has taught for University of Phoenix in the Humanities division since 2010 where she specializes in World Culture and Art.

Another interest Professor Noyes engages is pedagogy related to both in-person and online learning environments. She has co-published the following articles:

Professor Noyes lives in Bethlehem with her husband, James Noyes (who is a Professor at Lyndon State College in Vermont) and her two children, Lily (4 yrs) and William (2 yrs), and their dog, Cooper Sox Noyes.
