Janine DeBaets
Dr. DeBaets has been teaching in patient client management courses and is a member of the clinical education team since the start of the DPT program. In 2021, Dr. DeBaets joined the program full time. In addition to her teaching in several PCM courses and a Clinical Education team member, she is also an instructor in the Integrated Clinical Pro Bono Clinic. Prior to joining PSU, she worked as an expert level clinician at Spaulding Rehab Network and as a treating clinician at Exeter hospital in the outpatient clinic. She is currently active in treating at Exeter on a per diem basis.
Dr. DeBaets received her Doctorate degree of Physical Therapy from the University of Buffalo in 2005. After graduation, she completed the Orthopedic Residency program at MGH Institute of Health Professions and became APTA board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She is also a member of the APTA.
Dr. DeBaets is passionate about the mentoring and education of the next generation of clinicians and elevating the level of clinical practice by using current evidence-based treatments. She has interests in orthopedic injuries, spine, and manual therapy.
