BIOGRAPHY

Pam Harland is an award-winning educator and librarian with over 25 years of experience in school, public, academic, and special libraries, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Education where she teaches in the Library Media Specialist, Digital Learning Specialist, and Education MEd programs.

She has held leadership roles at both the state and national levels, including serving as the President of the NH School Librarians and on the Board of Directors for the American Association of School Librarians. Her contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple honors, including the American Association of School Librarians’ Research Paper Award (2026), PSU’s Distinguished Graduate Teaching Award (2025), NH School Library Distinguished Service Award (2016), NH School Librarian of the Year Award (2010), and the NH Intellectual Freedom Award (2009). She is also the author of The Learning Commons: Seven Simple Steps to Transforming Your Library (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2011).
