Showcase of Research and Engagement 2026

Date: May 1, 2026, 2–4 p.m.
Locations: Main Events – Courtroom at HUB; Satellite events – Silver Center, Museum of the White Mountains

The Showcase of Research and Engagement features student projects from a variety of disciplines including the sciences, arts, and humanities. This event is free and open to the public to come and interact with our students and discuss their projects, research, and scholarly achievements. Plymouth State is proud of its long legacy of engaged teaching and learning, and our new Integrated Cluster model is specifically designed to extend this by emphasizing reciprocal partnerships that benefit students and community. The projects, research, scholarship, and creative works on display demonstrate the power of these partnerships—to improve skills and preparation, to support the region, and to give students a space in which to integrate information and skills across multiple disciplines.

A student is presenting a poster titled “Final collection of sediment in settlement” by Tom O’Hara, David Hines, Trishin Harrison, Lisa Danner, and Simon Foulkes (P.S. Environmental Science and Policy Program). Includes two mentions of Actinobagella sp. isolated from sediments. Three nearly identical figures (Figures 1–3) each show a location of North Atlantic Ocean at 1000 m depth with sediment type described as “Sediments from the North Atlantic Ocean.” No data or visual differences are indicated between
