I am president of the University Honors Program and love anything that involves leadership, fitness, and reading. The WGSS department has impacted my life because it is where I found some of the most powerful and uplifting women. Aside from genuinely enjoying the content of the courses, I was able to create relationships with a variety of my classmates that stretch far outside the classroom walls. WGSS is important to understanding gender equity and the importance of giving individuals of all genders fair and equal opportunities. Once we familiarize ourselves with the foundations of WGSS, we can work on breaking the glass ceiling.
