Crisis Co-Response Teams

What is PSU's Crisis Co-Response Team?

PSU's Crisis Co-Response Team is a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach designed to respond to mental health or behavioral crises on campus. The team consists of Residential Life Community Directors and University Police Department officers working together to provide immediate support, ensure safety, and connect individuals to necessary resources. The Crisis Co-Response Team approach balances immediate intervention with social and emotional support and safety, ensuring a comprehensive response to campus crises.

Goals of our Crisis Co-Response Team:

  • Provide immediate support: Address crises in real-time with mental health oriented and safety interventions.
  • Ensure safety: Collaborate to manage risks and de-escalate situations when needed.
  • Connect to resources: Guide individuals to appropriate mental health services, social support, or community resources.
