McLane Family Fellow for Summer or Fall 2025

15 hours/week, $18.75/hour, $4500 for semester

May 12 - August 8, 2025 (Summer)

August 25, 2025 - May 8, 2026

The Fellowship is intended to last for a period of one academic year, with 15 hours per week with a minimum of 10 hours/week on the PSU campus based at the Museum. Compensation is a total of $9000 and distributed bi-weekly for a total of $4500 for Fall semester, and $4500 for Spring Semester. It is also possible for the position to begin in Summer 2025.
 
McLane Family Fellows must be formally enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, dedicated, enthusiastic, and able to bring art into a cross-disciplinary experience.
 
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the focus on the fellowship will be on graphic design and marketing for the museum, including developing exhibition specific materials, social media campaigns related to exhibitions, and developing a student-centered marketing strategy.
 
Fellow will need the following skills:
  • Graphic design and marketing skills
  • Organizational skills or readiness to develop organizational skills
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfortable researching and disseminating marketing trends

MWM Front Desk Attendant

$10.00-10.50/hour, up to 10 hours/week

Summer, Fall, and Spring Semesters

Are you interested in learning about museum work? Curious about how education, exhibition installation, interpretation, and tourism function within the field? Be part of our team! This is a semester long position, with the option to continue on into future semesters.

MWM Student Videographer/Video Editor

$9/hour, 5-8 hours/week

Do you have experience in Videography? The Museum of the White Mountains is looking for a creative and skilled student to create and edit video content for the Museum. Do you have experience or interest in developing video interviews, walk through experiences, time-lapse sequences, or video tutorials? We are looking for a student who can take on the creative challenge and complete projects on deadline. You will be helping to increase awareness of MWM and its exhibitions for the PSU student population, as well as providing interesting experiences for the public to enjoy “visiting” MWM online. This is a semester long position, with the option to continue for Spring semester.


MWM Student Assistant Curator

10 hours/week, $9-9.75/hour

Are you interested in working with artistic, historical, and environmental educational experiences? The Museum of the White Mountains is looking for a creative thinker to help students of all ages enjoy and engage with exhibitions! This PSU student position assists the Director of The Museum of the White Mountains with specific exhibit research, exhibit development, researching/developing exhibit educational materials, and collaborating to plan activities for specific exhibits. The successful candidate will have good research skills, is organized and a detail oriented, creative thinker, who is able to work independently and as part of the MWM team. This is a semester long position, with the option to continue for Spring semester.
