I am currently an Assistant Professor of Practice in Cybersecurity at Plymouth State University, bringing over 30 years of experience managing and securing large-scale, complex networks across academic, military, and commercial environments.
My background includes:
- Technical degrees at the associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels
- 30+ years of experience in network design, cybersecurity, and IT operations in higher education, private industry, and the U.S. military
- Over 20 years teaching undergraduate and graduate Computer Science and Cybersecurity courses in in-person, hybrid, and online formats at institutions including Plymouth State University, University of New Hampshire, University of Southern Maine, Southern New Hampshire University, Army Command and General Staff College, and American Intercontinental University
- Extensive leadership experience, including presentations to senior government officials and field commanders, up to the President of the United States
- A proven track record of implementing innovative technologies and policies
- Service in high-pressure environments supporting military operations both domestically and overseas
- Graduate of senior Department of Defense leadership programs
- Years of international experience in the Middle East, with professional and personal travel to 58 countries
- Expertise in cybersecurity, physical security, and technical security assessments
- Holder of a Top Secret Department of Defense security clearance, with experience supporting IT systems at the Pentagon, and during deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq
