Submit a Room Change Request

Plymouth State University believes there is significant educational value from the experience offered to students living in our residence halls. In keeping with this belief, all full-time matriculated students are required to live on campus if space is available. This policy is reviewed annually and adjusted to best meet the needs of the campus and community at large. See FAQs – Who is Required to Live on Campus for the current live-on requirement.

Students seeking a release from this requirement must submit the appropriate release request. Links to all release requests can be found through the Release Questionnaire. This questionnaire is a tool to assist you in determining and accessing the appropriate request form and is not a release request submission.

Housing/Application cancelation fees may apply. Please see the cancelation fee schedule located under Cancelations in the Housing and Dining Agreement.

The below waitlists are active during the indicated time frames for the indicated student groups. Students desiring to maintain their request from one waitlist to the next must submit a new request by completing the next form. Students on the waitlist will be sent an email reminder prior to the waitlist closure. Students who submit a request for the same room type with the same roommates, will not lose their place in line. Please know that single rooms are limited, and priority goes to students with a documented disability and then to those based on ranking/seniority and first come first served.

Pre-Fall Waitlist Available from May through the fall 2-week room freeze to all students

Fall Waitlist Available after the fall 2-week room freeze through the end of the semester to current students

Pre-Spring Waitlist Available over winter break through 2-week room freeze to all students

This form is for assigned students who have a vacancy or anticipate a vacancy in their assigned room/apartment during non-academic break periods (winter or summer) and want to reserve the available space for a preferred roommate.

Preferred roommates will be assigned to vacancies as long as the specific vacancy is confirmed prior to move-in and the reservation request is submitted before the vacancy is filled by the Housing Coordinator.

Students wishing to appeal end-of-semester damage charges and appeals should use the form below. Please note that specific time frames for appeals are communicated to students in their Damage & Fee notification emails sent to their PSU email address.

Animals, in general, are not allowed on campus- except fish in a small tank. Requests for service animals or emotional support animals are considered for students with a documented disability and consist of a two-step process.

ESA/Service animal approval - two-step process:

1. Reasonableness- Campus Accessibility Services (CAS): Individuals who wish to bring an ESA or service animal to campus must first obtain confirmation of a reasonable accommodation through Campus Accessibility Services. CAS will send confirmation to the Office of Residential Life once processed.

2. Animal Health and Policy Adherence- Residential Life: Once confirmation is received, the Housing Coordinator will set up an initial meeting to review the health and documentation requirements and policies. This meeting will be followed by an email with the link to the Service/Support Animal Housing Application. This online application is needed to confirm the health of the animal and acknowledgement of policies and adherence to same. The Service dog/ESA housing application and policy review are required annually. Note: All documentation must be provided via the application and is not accepted via email
