Application Deadlines for Study Abroad—it's in students' best interests to apply early!
October 1 (for Winterim and Spring programs)—Applications open in Summer
March 1 (for Summer and Fall programs)—Applications open in January
Eligibility Criteria
- Be in good standing with PSU Community Standards at the time of application, time of departure, and throughout the study abroad or study away program.
- A student who is on probation, regardless of the underlying violation, must successfully petition for permission to participate.
- A student who has had a violation in the past may still need to petition.
- Approved Programs:
- Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average at the time of application and at the time of departure. (Note: Some programs require higher GPA.)
- Will have earned at least 32 credit hours at the time of departure (12 of which at USNH institutions at the baccalaureate level).
- Declared major is no longer required but is recommended.

Step 2: Set up your Via Account so you can begin to explore programs.
Please make sure when you create your UNH-Via profile, to only click the blue button.
If you have any issues logging in, please e-mail study.abroad@unh.edu.
Step 3: Schedule a 1:1 with PSU’s education abroad advisor.
Step 4: Search programs in Via and begin to narrow down your choices.
Step 5: Apply to only one program in Via and on the provider's website.
